Every day, your ERP or applications produce flat data files, database extract files or SCS spooled files that are either printed just to check or processed using a composition software application.
For budgetary or organizational reasons, you perhaps need to migrate your hardware or applications, which means you need to transfer the data files by transcoding them from EBCDIC to ASCII or by implementing a Unicode environment.

ProPrinter is a printer language designed to print to line matrix printers. The ProPrinter language is limited in terms of graphical capabilities but supports text boxes and barcodes.

Note: The success of each conversion process depends on the graphical capabilities supported by the selected language and printer. Also, the rendering of character fonts may not be as good as expected if the fonts can't be downloaded to the printer.
